Roomle is GDPR compliant
On May 25th, 2018, the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) became applicable. That's good and important, because it protects your personal information even more!
EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The GDPR is the biggest change in data protection laws in Europe since the 1995 introduction of the European Union (EU) Data Protection Directive. This regulation sets a new standard for how organizations collect, use, and protect EU citizens’ personal information.
Roomle ensures that your use of our product complies with the GDPR requirements. We also tried to make the implementation of these requirements as transparent and user-friendly as possible.
Therefore, we encourage you to view the documents as the use of the Roomle services indicates your agreement to the updated conditions. If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Roomle specific changes
Here are the most significant changes that affect you as a Roomle user:
1. Email confirmation - Double Opt-In
One of the changes that goes hand in hand with the GDPR is the confirmation of the mail address, the so-called double opt-in.
What is double opt-in?
Double opt-in is when you need to confirm your email address before using our service. It is the double confirmation of your subscription. Thus, we ensure compliance with DSGVO approval.
After confirming your email address in your email account, you can continue working with Roomle.
2. For our B2B clients - The Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
The Roomle Data Processing Agreement (“DPA”), includes the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, as applicable, reflects the parties’ agreement with respect to the terms governing the Processing of Personal Data under the Roomle General Terms and Conditions.
We are offering the DPA for EU customers or customers processing EU personal data. If you would like one, please contact us email@example.com or download it.
