3D Specialist Requirements

We have prepared a short overview about qualifications for the 3D Specialist Profile (3D Artist) needed in order to setup and prepare your products in 3D for the Rubens 3D Product Configurator.

Requirements:

  • Blender or 3ds Max knowledge
  • Experience in creating assets for real-time rendering: low poly modeling, efficient use of texture space, converting CAD data into real-time assets (maybe this is not needed) (re-topologize, (semi-) automatic workflows)
  • Author photorealistic materials (PBR - physically based rendering): experience with Disney Principled shader (or Similar PBR-based material abstractions), know how to efficiently create and apply common texture types ( e.g. albedo, alpha, normal, roughness, metalness, occlusion, height)
