Google Analytics & GDPR Compliance

Integrating your 3D experience with Google Analytics allows you to monitor user behavior while adhering to the highest data privacy standards. On the one hand, the Roomle Rubens Configurator uses Google Analytics to improve UX and performance based on the anonymized data we collect; on the other hand, it enables you to access usage insights during a configuration session while customers configure products on your website or webshop. We do not collect any private or personalized data, nor do we use data collected with Google Analytics for personalized marketing or spam, following industry best practices to ensure the absolute protection of user data.

GDPR-Compliant Implementation

In order to act GDPR compliant we strongly recommend to collect the users consent on your side before using the Rubens Configurator and its integrated Google Analytics tracking. The information of the consent must be passed to the integration snippet so that Roomle can activate or deactivate the tracking accordingly. Currently you have the option to ask the user for consent before loading the configurator – similar to how social media embeds work – or to utilize fine-grained control via our embedding documentation to toggle tracking based on your specific site logic.
