FRAMA is a Copenhagen-based multidisciplinary design studio founded in 2011. The company focuses on furniture, lighting, self-care, and interior design, creating simple, functional pieces made from natural materials with a timeless look.

To support this vision, FRAMA introduced the Shelf Library Configurator, an intuitive digital tool that brings their iconic shelving system to life online. The configurator allows users to explore, customize, and visualize their perfect setup in real time, all while staying true to FRAMA’s design philosophy.

Background & Challenge

FRAMA is a design studio, known for creating timeless furniture and lifestyle objects that balance functionality and aesthetic clarity. Their modular Shelf Library system is a signature product: versatile and customizable, yet traditionally complex for customers to configure. As the brand expanded its digital presence and sales channels, the need for a more intuitive and immersive online experience became clear.


FRAMA's previous configurator was not user-friendly and lacked visual clarity, especially for complex products like the Shelf Library. Customers often faced confusion, and the process of adding each item to the cart individually was inefficient.​

Goal

FRAMA aimed to deliver a seamless and inspiring configurator experience that aligns with their design philosophy and enhances the customer journey. Their objective was to create an intuitive 3D tool that would allow users to easily visualize and customize the modular Shelf Library system in real time. By integrating real-time pricing and direct add-to-cart functionality across multiple storefronts, they sought to streamline the buying experience. Additionally, the configurator was envisioned as a practical internal tool to support sales and customer service teams in handling inquiries and providing tailored assistance more effectively.

Solution

To enhance the customer experience, FRAMA integrated the Roomle Rubens 3D Configurator into their platform. This solution offered:​
