Best of the Best: Roomle wins Red Dot Design Award
Roomle´s communication design convinces the high-caliber jury
"Best of the Best" is awarded for groundbreaking design quality in the Red Dot Design Award: Only projects that win over the jury with their very high design quality and creative performance receive this prize - one more reason to be really proud of this award!
A multicultural jury of 24 experts selected Roomle out of 8,051 submitted projects from 50 countries and across 18 categories.
In line with the overarching motto, “In search of good design and creativity”, the experts awarded the Red Dot seal only to projects that won them over with their high design quality and creativity. The renowned label was awarded to 749 works. In addition, the jury bestowed the Red Dot: Best of the Best on 67 works. This award for very high design quality and creative achievement was thus only received by 0.8 percent of all entries.

The Jury-Statement:
"The design of the Roomle app convinces with a dynamic 3D navigation, an engaging design appearance and high functionality. What is special about it is that, after users have specified a room design, it proposes a selection of matching furniture that is exactly tailored to individual requirements, instead of distinguishing hierarchically between more or less exclusive furniture providers."
About the Red Dot Design Award
In order to appraise the diversity in the field of design in a professional manner, the Red Dot Design Award breaks down into the three disciplines of Red Dot Award: Product Design, Red Dot Award: Communication Design and Red Dot Award: Design Concept.
The Red Dot Award is organised by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen and is one of the world’s largest design competitions. In 1955, a jury convened for the first time to assess the best designs of the day. In the 1990s, Red Dot CEO Professor Dr. Peter Zec developed the name and brand of the award. Ever since, the sought-after Red Dot award has been the revered international seal of outstanding design quality.
The best of the best is connecting to a series of roomle awards of the last years. 2017 Roomle was nominated at the Auggie Awards, the UX Design Awards and the German Design Awards 2018.
