ACD Elektronik already had an online configurator in place to enable customers to customize their mobile workstation systems.
As the product portfolio expanded—including numerous modular components, accessories, and configuration options—the existing tool increasingly reached its limits. The growing complexity posed a challenge both for the user experience and for technical maintenance on the backend.
To meet rising expectations and drive digital transformation, ACD set out to replace the outdated configurator with a scalable, future-proof solution. The goal was to provide customers with an intuitive, visually appealing configuration experience while significantly streamlining internal processes such as quoting, order processing, and sales consulting.

ACD Elektronik approached Roomle with a clear objective: to make configuring its highly modular workstation systems an intuitive, lifelike visual experience—both online and at trade fairs.
The challenge was to balance complexity with ease of use. Customers should be able to explore the wide range of configuration options without feeling overwhelmed. At the same time, the solution had to meet technical requirements: clean data structures, optimized 3D models, and a seamless experience—for both end users and ACD’s sales team.
